Between Darlington and Bishop Auckland
Description
Theft of signalling cables between Darlington and Bishop Auckland means all lines are blocked. Train services running between these stations will be cancelled.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Customer advice:
Network Rail staff are en route to the area to investigate the cause.
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Rail replacement transport will run between Darlington and Bishop Auckland in both directions, as follows:
21:35 from Darlington to Bishop Auckland, calling at all stations. Operated by NorthStar
21:55 from Bishop Auckland to Darlington, calling at all stations. Operated by 626 Coaches
Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick up points and be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport.
