Description

A failure of the electricity supply between Dartford and London Bridge means trains running between these stations may be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

No trains will run between London Bridge and Dartford until at least the end of the day, Saturday 2 May.

Trains that usually run between Rainham (Kent) or Gillingham (Kent) and St Albans City / Luton will instead run only between Rainham (Kent) / Gillingham (Kent) and Dartford.

No Thameslink trains will call at the following stations:

  • Deptford

  • Greenwich

  • Maze Hill

  • Westcombe Park

  • Charlton

  • Woolwich Arsenal

  • Plumstead

  • Abbey Wood

  • Slade Green


If you are travelling to or from these stations:

You can use your ticket to travel on Southeastern services at no extra cost. You may need to wait longer than usual for a train towards your destination, and you may need to change trains more times than usual. This may extend your journey time by up to 30 minutes, so please allow for extra time.

You can use your ticket to travel at no extra cost on:

  • Thameslink services on alternative services between London and Luton / St Albans City

  • Southeastern services on any reasonable route between Rainham (Kent) / Gillingham (Kent) and London Victoria / London Bridge

  • London Buses on routes between Dartford and London Bridge

  • London Underground on any reasonable route

  • Elizabeth line services between Farringdon and Abbey Wood

Can you tell me more about the incident?

Engineering work taking place between Dartford and London Bridge requires the railway power on this section to be switched off. Due to a fault with the electricity substation in the South Bermondsey area, which provides electricity to the railway, this line can't be isolated, this means that the power switch off will affect all Thameslink routes through the area.
