Description

A points failure between Dewsbury and Leeds means trains have to run at reduced speeds between these stations. As a result, journeys may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Advice for TransPennine Express customers:

You should continue to travel as planned, however, your journey may be delayed by up to 60 minutes.

You can use your tickets at no extra cost on LNER services from York to Newcastle.

Additional information:

Network Rail have made a partial repair to a points failure at Cottingley. It's not yet confirmed if the repair will be sustainable. Therefore, trains will be passing red signals whilst running at slower speeds.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
