between Doncaster and Leeds
Description
A fault with the signalling system between Doncaster and Leeds means all lines are closed. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed.
Disruption is expected until 09:00.
Advice for Northern customers:
Train services are unable to run between Wakefield Westgate, Adwick and Doncaster (in both directions).
Northern services between Leeds and Sheffield via Moorthorpe are not affected.
You should continue your journey using the alternative suggestions below.
You can travel on the following train operators and routes at no extra cost:
CrossCountry services between York and Doncaster
LNER services between York and Doncaster
TransPennine Express services between Sheffield and Doncaster
Please note that other train operators may also be affected by disruption – please check your whole journey before travelling.
Please consider using Moorthorpe as an alternative to South Elmsall.
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
Replacement transport:
Road transport has been requested to operate between Doncaster and Wakefield Westgate (in both directions).
Advice for LNER customers:
Rail replacement buses have been requested to run between Doncaster, Wakefield Westgate and Leeds.
