Description

Lines have reopened following a road vehicle colliding with a bridge between Darlington and Durham. Trains running between Darlington and Newcastle may still be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 45 minutes whilst service recovers.

Disruption is expected until 12:00.

You are advised to travel on the next available TransPennine Express service to reach your destination or you may wish to postpone your journey until trains are running again or until alternative travel options are available.

You can also use your ticket at no extra cost on CrossCountry services between Leeds and Newcastle, and also on LNER services between York and Newcastle. Please note that CrossCountry and LNER are also affected by this disruption.
