Between Maesteg / Newport (South Wales) and Ebbw Vale Town

Description

A broken rail between Llanhilleth and Ebbw Vale Parkway means the line is blocked. As a result, no trains can run to / from Ebbw Vale Town. Trains will be cancelled or revised.

We expected this to continue until approximately 15:30.

Customer advice:

Rail replacement buses have been organised to run between Ebbw Vale Town and Cardiff Central from 11:20. Your ticket can be used on these services at no extra cost.

Road transport will take longer than rail services. Please allow extra time to complete your journey.

You can also use the following local bus services to help you complete your journey, at no extra cost:

  • Newport Bus: route 1 between Newport and Rogerstone via Pye Corner

  • Stagecoach South Wales:

    • Route 56 between Newport and Crosskeys via Rogerstone and Ponytmister

    • Route X15 between Newport and Llanhilleth via Rogerstone, Crosskeys and Newbridge

    • Route 151 between Newport and Newbridge via Pye Corner, Rogerstone, Pontymister, Risca and Crosskeys
