Description

Flooding at Edge Hill means that some lines are blocked running through this station. Platforms 1 & 2 have now reopened allowing majority of trains to call at this station.

However, trains that run between Liverpool Lime Street and Warrington Central / Manchester Oxford Road remain unable to call at Edge Hill.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Customers at Edge Hill who require stations towards Manchester Oxford Road via Warrington Central are advised to travel to Liverpool Lime Street and change for connecting Northern service back towards Manchester Oxford Road via Warrington Central. These services will run non-stop through Edge Hill.

Customers requiring / travelling to Edge Hill are advised to travel to Liverpool Lime Street and connect with Northern services towards Edge Hill, where you can get off the train at platform 1.

To assist you with your journey, Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including advance and peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
