Trains between Inverness and Elgin / Aberdeen / Glasgow Queen Street
Description
A failure of the electricity supply between Inverness and Aberdeen means all lines are disrupted. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Customer advice:
Trains will only be able to run between Aberdeen and Huntly and between Inverness and Nairn.
You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on the following:
ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination
Stagecoach North between Aberdeen and Inverness
If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
ScotRail have not been able to secure rail replacement transport and you should consider making your own alternative arrangements.
You may wish to consider postponing your journey until services return to normal.
