Description
The RMT union has announced industrial action which is expected to impact the level of service on East Midlands Railway's Intercity and Connect routes on Sunday 30 August, Monday 31 August, Wednesday 16 September and Thursday 17 September.
East Midlands Railway are currently assessing the impact of this industrial action on their services. We'll publish more information such as any planned timetable changes as soon as they are confirmed.
Customer advice:
Tickets dated Sunday 30 August can be used to travel on East Midlands Railway and connecting services on Friday 28 August, Saturday, 29 August, Tuesday 1 September or Wednesday 2 September
Tickets dated Sunday Monday 31 August can be used to travel on East Midlands Railway and connecting services on Friday 28 August, Saturday 29 August, Tuesday 1 September or Wednesday 2 September
Tickets dated Wednesday 16 September can be used to travel on East Midlands Railway and connecting services on Tuesday 15 September, Friday 18 September, Saturday 19 September, Sunday 20 September or Monday 21 September
Tickets dated Thursday 17 September can be used to travel on East Midlands Railway and connecting services on Tuesday 15 September, Friday 18 September, Saturday 19 September, Sunday 20 September or Monday 21 September
Please note that the above advice is with the exception of connecting services operated by Grand Central, Heathrow Express, Hull Trains or Lumo.
Additionally, if travelling on non-strike days, be aware that East Midlands Railway are operating a reduced Intercity timetable.
If your train is cancelled or you choose not to travel due to strike action, tickets can be changed to another date, or they can be returned for a full refund at your point of purchase. No administration fee will be charged.
