Description
An earlier fault with the signalling system at Faversham has now been resolved, allowing trains to return to normal running. As service recovers, trains running towards London may still be delayed, cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected until 19:00.
What's happened?
There was a fault with the signalling system at Faversham. Engineers have worked to rectify this fault and this has now been completed. Whilst the fault was ongoing, this has restricted the number of platforms available for use at the station.
How does this affect my journey?
Whilst the fault was ongoing, the number of platforms available was restricted which has caused some significant disruption to trains, particularly those heading towards London.
We're doing all we can to get trains back to normal as quickly as possible, but there will be some short notice changes and cancellations whilst we do this.
What should I do?
Please allow extra time for your journey this evening.
