Lines reopened: disruption between Faversham and Margate expected until 12:30

Description

The emergency services have completed their work following an earlier incident where a person was hit by a train. This has allowed all lines between Faversham and Margate to reopen. Whilst service recovers, trains may still be delayed by up to 45 minutes, revised or cancelled.

Disruption is expected until 12:30.

What's happened?

A train hit a person on the line between Faversham and Herne bay.

Emergency services have authorised for the line to reopen, trains are now able to run again.

The first train to run though Herne Bay is expected to be the 09:40 London Victoria service to Ramsgate calling at Herne Bay with a scheduled arrival time of 11:06.

How does this affect my journey?

Trains are now running but with delays.

Please check before you travel and allow extra time to complete your journey.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on all other viable routes including:

• Highspeed services between Margate and London St Pancras International in both directions

• Highspeed services between Faversham and Margate in both directions

• Stagecoach Buses on routes 34, 8A, 400, 401, 600 and 601 also The Loop

• Fast Track buses route B in the Ebbsfleet area so passengers can get from Gravesend to Ebbsfleet to catch highspeed services that travel via Ashford
