Between Leeds and Knottingley

Description

The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Leeds and Knottingley. Whilst they carry out their work, some lines are closed.

As a result, train services are unable to run between Leeds and Knottingley via Featherstone (in both directions). Services between Leeds and Knottingley via Castleford are able to run but may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

This is expected until 14:00.

Road transport has been requested to operate:

  • 14:20 Wakefield Kirkgate to Pontefract Monkhill

  • 14:00 Knottingley to Wakefield Kirkgate

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
