Description

Lines have now reopened following a fire next to the track between Humanby and Bempton, however trains are having to run at a reduced speed between these stations.

As a result, trains running between Bridlington and Scarborough may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

This is expected until 21:30.

Customer advice:

Northern services between York / Hull and Bridlington are not affected by this issue.

What should I do?

You can also travel on the following train operators and routes at no extra cost:

  • LNER services between Doncaster and York

  • The next Northern service to your destination, where available

  • TransPennine Express services between York and Scarborough

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including advance and peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Road transport:

Road transport has been requested in case disruption continues. More information will be provided once operators and timings have been confirmed.

Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick up points and be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport.

Journey times may be extended whilst travelling by road transport.
