Description

A speed restriction over a defective train between Scarborough and Hull means that trains have to run at reduced speed on the line.

As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled in full, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised to run only part of their scheduled journey.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day Tuesday 15 September.

Train services can run between Hull, Bridlington and Scarborough (in both directions) but may be subject to delays of up to 20 minutes and may be revised due to compounded delays impacting the timetable.

Services on the following routes will be affected by this disruption:

• Between Sheffield and Scarborough, and York and Bridlington.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
