Description

Following a fault with the signalling system between Birmingham New Street and University all lines have now reopened. As service recovers, trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 09:00.

Customer advice:

Rail replacement transport is in operation between Longbridge and Bromsgrove / Redditch in both directions until further notice.

Your ticket can be used, at no extra cost, on the following alternatives:

  • Alternative West Midlands Railway services from Birmingham Moor Street to Shirley, where you can get a local bus to Kings Norton, Longbridge, or Northfield

  • CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and University, as long as their service isn't affected by the incident
