Description

A fault on a train between Retford and Lincoln means that some lines are blocked. Trains running between these stations may be revised to terminate at a different station on their route.

Disruption is expected until 20:00.

Train services are unable to run between Retford and Lincoln (in both directions).

Services between Leeds - Lincoln will be affected by this disruption.

What should I do?

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

Northern tickets will be accepted on the following services at no extra cost:

• East Midlands Railway between Lincoln and Doncaster to connect with alternative Northern services between Doncaster and Sheffield

• LNER services between Lincoln and Retford

Please note that other train operators may also be affected by disruption – please check your whole journey before travelling.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Replacement transport:

Road transport will be operated by Premier as follows:

• From Worksop to Lincoln, calling at Retford, Gainsborough Lea Road and Saxilby, at 19:20

• From Lincoln to Worksop, and then stopping as required to Sheffield, at 19:35

Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick-up points and be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport.

Journey times may be extended by up to 60 minutes whilst travelling by road transport.
