Description
The fault with the signalling system at Gloucester has been fixed, allowing the lines to be reopened. Trains may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or diverted as services return to normal.
This is expected to continue until 14:30.
CrossCountry customer advice:
Trains will be diverted where possible between Cheltenham Spa and Bristol Temple Meads, not calling at Bristol Parkway.

The two CrossCountry services operating before and after your cancelled service
Great Western Railway services between Cheltenham Spa and Plymouth / Penzance (please note, these services are also affected by this disruption)
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.

Trains were unable to run between Gloucester and Swindon however trains are now running on this route once again.

Y1 between Bristol (Bus Station) and Yate (Station)
Y6 between Patchway (Little Stoke Lane), Bristol Parkway (Station) and Yate (Station)
M4 between Bristol (Centre) and Bristol Parkway (Station)

Additional information:
There was a fault with the signalling at a junction near Gloucester. The signalling system is how trains are kept a safe distance apart and directed onto the various lines along their journey. Network Rail engineers have investigated the fault and have fixed the issue.
