Trains between Gatwick Airport and Reading

Description

A fault at a level crossing between Gomshall and Chilworth means all lines are blocked. As a result, trains between Redhill and Guildford will be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until 17:00.

Customer advice:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following in both directions until further notice:

  • Thameslink between Gatwick Airport and Farringdon

  • Southern between Gatwick Airport and Clapham Junction via Redhill

  • Elizabeth line between Farringdon and London Paddington

  • South Western Railway between:

    • London Waterloo and Reading via Clapham Junction

    • London Waterloo and Basingstoke via Woking

    • Guilford and Clapham Junction

  • London Underground between London Victoria, London Waterloo and London Paddington

  • Reading Buses routes on:

    • Leopard 3 Reading to Wokingham

    • Lion 4/4A Reading to Bracknell

  • Thames Valley Buses routes:

    • 125/125A Wokingham to Crowthorne

    • 128 Reading to Wokingham

    • 194 Bracknell to Camberley

  • Stagecoach South routes:

    • 3 Blackwater to Aldershot

    • 20 Aldershot to Guildford

Replacement transport has been requested to run, more information will follow when confirmed.

If your train is cancelled, you may travel on either of the two services before, or two services after, your original train. If these are peak services or less flexible, you can still travel with your original ticket, at no extra cost.
