Description

A buckled rail at Great Chesterford means all lines are blocked. As a result, trains between Cambridge and Stansted Airport / Bishops Stortford will be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until 20:00.

If your CrossCountry train is cancelled, you may use your ticket on the two CrossCountry train services operating before or the two CrossCountry train services after your cancelled service.

Alternatively, you may use your ticket on the following services and routes at no extra cost:

Routes via London

  • London Northwestern Railway services between Birmingham New Street / Nuneaton and London Euston

  • Avanti West Coast services between Birmingham New Street / Nuneaton and London Euston

  • East Midlands Railway services between Leicester and London St Pancras International

  • LNER services between Peterborough and London Kings Cross

  • Greater Anglia services between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport/Ely and Peterborough

  • London Underground services between London Terminals: Euston, St Pancras, Kings Cross and or Liverpool Street (please show your ticket to gate line staff to be allowed through the ticket gates)

You do not need to amend your ticket to use it on these services

Limited accessible replacement buses are running between Bishops Stortford and Cambridge North.

You can use your ticket on the following alternatives at no extra cost:

  • London Underground services, all reasonable routes between Tottenham Hale, London Liverpool Street and Kings Cross

  • Great Northern services between London Kings Cross and Cambridge

  • Thameslink via any reasonable routes

From London Liverpool Street, travel on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines to Kings Cross St Pancras.

Change for Great Northern services from London Kings Cross to Cambridge

From Cambridge, travel on Great Northern trains to London Kings Cross.

Travel on travel on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines from Kings Cross St Pancras to Liverpool Street.
