Description

Lines have now reopened following a train hitting an obstruction on the line between Leeds and Harrogate. However, whilst service recovers, trains running between these stations may be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until 22:00.

Train services are now able to run between Leeds and Harrogate in both directions.

Services between Leeds and York via Harrogate will still be affected by this disruption.

What should I do?

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

You can travel between Leeds and York via Micklefield.

You can also travel on TransPennine Express services at no extra cost between Leeds and York.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Network Rail staff have been on site and removed the obstruction.
