Description

The emergency services have completed their work following an earlier incident where a person was hit by a train. This has allowed all lines between London Kings Cross and Stevenage to reopen. Whilst service recovers, trains may still be delayed by up to 60 minutes, revised or cancelled.

Major disruption is expected until 18:00.

Great Northern / Thameslink customer advice:

Trains can now run between Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage again. You can now travel on your booked route.

Work is being done to return to the scheduled timetable, but please continue to check journey planners and station information boards before you travel.

Some trains in the area will still be disrupted, and your journey may take up to at least 30 minutes longer than usual.

Please be aware that due to our crew and trains not being where they should be, trains are likely to be cancelled or revised.

The first train will depart London St Pancras International towards Stevenage at 14:30.
