Description
A points failure in the Heald Green area means some lines are blocked. Trains running between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Some lines have now reopened but only a limited service is able to run.
Major disruption is expected until 15:00.

Fewer trains are able to run between Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Airport in both directions.
Services on the following routes will be terminated / start back from Manchester Oxford Road or Manchester Piccadilly:
Between Windermere and Manchester Airport
Between Barrow-In-Furness and Manchester Airport
Services on the following route will NOT call at Manchester Airport in this direction only.
Between Manchester Piccadilly and Crewe via Styal
Northern services on the following routes are not affected, but may experience short notice delays and cancellations:
Blackpool North and Manchester Airport
Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Airport
Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly via Styal (In this direction only)

From Manchester Airport to Manchester Piccadilly, calling at Heald Green, Gatley, East Didsbury, Burnage, Mauldeth Road and Manchester Piccadilly at 12:45, 13:30
