Description

Lines have reopened following an earlier points failure between Sowerby Bridge and Hebden Bridge. As services recover, trains running between these stations may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 21:15.

Customer advice:

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following alternatives:

  • Metrolink services from Manchester to Rochdale

  • TransPennine Express services between Leeds and Manchester Victoria

  • Transport for Wales services from Manchester Piccadilly to Chester

Any ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Road replacement transport will run operate as follows:

  • 19:04 at Blackburn all stations to via Bradford Interchange to Leeds (provided by Oceans Travel)


Journey times may be extended by up to 60 minutes whilst travelling by Rail Replacement transport.
