Description
A short notice change to the timetable between Herne Bay and Margate means that train services between these stations will be suspended. Trains will be cancelled.
Buses will replace trains until the end of the day.
What's happened?
Southeastern have identified issues with the ongoing engineering works between Herne Bay and Sittingbourne which mean we had to make adjustments to the services between Herne Bay and Margate until the end of the day.
How does this affect my journey?
Trains are unable to run between Herne Bay and Margate until the end of the day.
What should I do?
Please allow extra time for your journey and check before you travel. If you incur any extra cost while we work to introduce alternative transport, please keep all receipts and submit them to our customer services.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Stagecoach routes 8, 400, 401, 600, 601 and Thanet Loop to help you complete your journey.
Replacement buses are in operation between Herne Bay and Margate, calling at all stations. At the moment, Southeastern were able to arrange one bus, but are working to source more.
