Trains between Three Bridges and Bedford, and also between Sutton and St Albans City

Description

A fault with the signalling system between Herne Hill and Elephant & Castle means some lines are blocked. As a result, trains may be cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day

Customer Advice

Thameslink services between Sutton and St Albans partially suspended. To complete your journey, you'll need to change trains and use an alternative route. Please allow at least an additional 30 minutes to reach your destination.

Service changes

Thameslink services from Sutton to St Albans will only operate between Herne Hill and St Albans.

There will be no Thameslink service at the following stations, and you will need to use London buses to complete your journey.

  • Sutton (served by Southern)

  • West Sutton

  • Sutton Common

  • St Helier

  • Morden South

  • South Merton

  • Wimbledon Chase

  • Wimbledon (served by South Western Railway)

  • Haydons Road

  • Tooting

  • Streatham (served by Southern)

  • Tulse Hill (served by Southern)


Thameslink services will also not call at:

  • Carshalton

  • Hackbridge

  • Mitcham Junction

  • Mitcham Eastfields


Southern services will continue to operate at Carshalton, Hackbridge, Mitcham Junction and Mitcham Eastfields from Sutton.

Alternative travel options:

The following options are available at no additional cost:

  • South Western Railway services between Wimbledon and London Waterloo

  • London Underground between Wimbledon and London Blackfriars, changing for alternative Thameslink services at London Blackfriars.

  • Thameslink services between East Croydon and Bedford

  • Southern services between Sutton and London Victoria, and between East Croydon and London Bridge

  • London buses between Sutton, Wimbledon and London Bridge
