Description

Lines have now reopened following a vehicle striking a bridge between Nuneaton and Leicester. However, whilst service recovers, trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 60 minutes or cancelled.

Disruption is expected until 19:00.

Customer advice:

If your CrossCountry train is cancelled, you may use your ticket on the two CrossCountry train services operating before or the two CrossCountry train services after your cancelled service.

Alternatively, you may use your ticket on the following services and routes at no extra cost:

  • Avanti West Coast services between Tamworth and Nuneaton / Coventry and Birmingham New Street

  • CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and Derby / Nottingham

  • East Midlands Railway services between Derby and Leicester as well as between Nottingham and Ely

  • London Northwestern Railway services between Tamworth and Nuneaton / Coventry and Birmingham New Street

  • West Midlands Railway services between Nuneaton and Coventry

Road transport:

Replacement buses are currently running between Nuneaton and Leicester until further notice.
