Description

Emergency services are dealing with an incident between New Cross and Blackheath / Hither Green / New Beckenham meaning some lines are closed. As a result, trains between these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 45 minutes or revised.

Major disruption is expected until 12:00.

A visual disruption map video is available.

What's happened?

Emergency services have been called to an area near the railway between New Cross and Hither Green, sadly a body has been discovered on the line so trains cannot currently run to capacity, we have been cleared to reopen 2 out of the 4 tracks impacted by this and anticipate trains running again in approximately 20 minutes.

Emergency services are already on site and working with rail staff to reopen the lines fully as soon as possible.
