Description

Following animals on the railway between Peterborough and Stevenage all lines have now reopened. As service recovers, trains may still be delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 14:00.

Great Northern / Thameslink customer advice:

Trains can now run between Peterborough and Hitchin again. You can now travel on your booked route.

Some trains in the area will still be disrupted, and your journey may take up to at least 30 minutes longer than usual.

Please be aware that due to crew and trains not being where they should be, trains are likely to be cancelled or revised.

The swan has been removed from the railway and local staff and Network Rail's response staff are working to restore service to the booked timetable.
