Description

Damage to the overhead wires at Hyndland means that all lines running through this station are currently closed.

As a result, trains are unable to run between Partick and Anniesland / Yoker, and will be cancelled or revised.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Impact to services:

  • Trains between Airdrie and Balloch will run between Anniesland and Balloch only

  • Trains between Edinburgh and Helensburgh Central will run between Yoker and Helensburgh Central only

  • Trains between Larkhall and Dalmuir will run between Larkhall and Newton (Lanark) only

  • Trains between Motherwell and Dalmuir will run between Motherwell and Anderston only

  • Trains between Cumbernauld and Dalmuir will run between Cumbernauld and Anderston only

  • Trains between Edinburgh / Springburn and Milngavie are suspended

Customer advice:

At this time, passengers are advised to make their own travel arrangements.

Rail replacement transport will run on the following routes:

  • Between Glasgow Queen Street and Dalmuir via Yoker

  • Between Glasgow Central and Dalmuir via Singer

  • Between Airdrie and Bathgate

  • Between Partick and Milngavie

  • Between Partick and Helensburgh

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following alternatives:

  • Whitelaws bus routes between Larkhall / Hamilton and Motherwell

  • West Coast Motors bus routes 15 and 17 between Milngavie and Glasgow City Centre

  • SPT Subway services between St Enoch / Buchanan Street and Partick

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.

Additional information:

There is damage to the overhead wires in the Hyndland area, affecting services running on multiple routes. Repair work is being carried out, however, this is expected to take the vast majority of the day today to complete.
