Industrial action to affect London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July

Description

Industrial action has been announced by the TSSA Union for London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway on Friday 10 July and Saturday 11 July.

A significantly reduced service will be in operation with some services having no train service on both days.

London Northwestern Railway:

Friday:

A limited service will be in operation on the following routes only:

• Birmingham – Liverpool – 1 train per hour

• London Euston – Crewe – 1 train per hour

• Birmingham – London Euston via Northampton – 1 train per hour

• Milton Keynes Central – London Euston – 1 train per hour

• Watford Junction – St Albans Abbey – 1 train per hour

No trains will run past 19:00, with final departures significantly earlier.

Saturday:

A limited service will run on the following routes only:

• Birmingham – Liverpool – 1 train per hour

• London Euston – Crewe – 1 train per hour

• Birmingham – London Euston via Northampton – 1 train per hour

• Milton Keynes Central – London Euston – 1 train per hour

• Watford Junction – St Albans Abbey – 1 train per hour

Services will start later than usual from 07:00. Early morning services will not run.

The following routes will have no service on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July:

• Marston Vale line (Bedford - Bletchley)

• Stafford - Crewe via Stoke-on-Trent

West Midlands Railway:

Friday:

A limited service will be in operation on the following routes only:

• Cross City line (Lichfield - Redditch / Bromsgrove via Birmingham New Street) – 2 trains per hour

• Wolverhampton - Walsall via Birmingham New Street – 1 train per hour

• Rugeley Trent Valley – Birmingham International via Birmingham New Street - 1 train per hour

No trains will run past 19:00, with final departures significantly earlier.

Saturday:

A limited service will run on the following routes only:

• Cross City line (Lichfield - Redditch / Bromsgrove via Birmingham New Street) – 2 trains per hour

• Wolverhampton - Walsall via Birmingham New Street – 1 train per hour

• Rugeley Trent Valley – Birmingham International via Birmingham New Street - 1 train per hour

The following routes will have no service on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July:

• All routes via Birmingham Snow Hill

• Camp Hill line (Kings Norton - Birmingham New Street)

• Nuneaton - Leamington Spa

• Birmingham New Street - Hereford

• Birmingham New Street - Shrewsbury

Alternative options:

If you hold a ticket for travel on a train which has been cancelled you can return it to your place of purchase for a full refund. No administration fee will be charged.

Alternatively, tickets dated Friday 10 or Saturday 11 July can be used on an alternative London Northwestern Railway service / West Midlands Railway service on Thursday 9 July or Sunday 12 July instead.
