Trains between Aberdeen and Inverurie / Inverness / Montrose

Description

There are multiple signalling faults along the line between Aberdeen and Inverness. This has caused all lines to be blocked. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised to start / terminate from a different station along the route.

Disruption is expected until 14:30.

Customer advice:

Your train ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following local bus routes:

  • Stagecoach North between Aberdeen and Inverness in both directions. Please note that Insch station is not covered by local bus services on this route

A very limited number of rail replacement buses have been confirmed to operate between Aberdeen and Huntly, these are the following:

  • 3 x RS Coaches

    • At Aberdeen at approximately 08:30, and at 09:00

    • At Huntly at approximately 08:30

Due to very limited replacement transport being secured, passengers are advised to consider making their own alternative arrangements.

Customers travelling from Inverness to stations after Forres are advised that there is limited transport between Huntly to Aberdeen.

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
