Between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin

Description

More trains than usual are needing repairs on the line between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin and there is a shortage of train drivers in the afternoon tomorrow, Wednesday 18 February.

As a result, fewer trains are able to run on the line from the start of service until 09:00, and also from 12:00 until 17:00.

The following trains will be cancelled / altered:

Morning alterations

  • 05:23 Ryde St Johns Road - Ryde Pier Head will be cancelled

  • 06:03 Ryde Pier Head - Shanklin will be cancelled

  • 06:51 Shanklin - Ryde Pier Head will be cancelled

  • 07:26 Ryde Pier Head - Shanklin will be cancelled

  • 08:07 Shanklin - Ryde Pier Head will be started from Ryde St Johns Road at 08:28

Afternoon alterations

  • 12:51 Shanklin - Ryde Pier Head will be terminated at Ryde St Johns Road at 13:10

  • 13:26 Ryde Pier Head - Shanklin will be cancelled

  • 14:07 Shanklin - Ryde Pier Head will be cancelled

  • 14:47 Ryde Pier Head - Shanklin will be cancelled

  • 15:30 Shanklin - Ryde Pier Head will be cancelled

  • 16:03 Ryde Pier Head - Shanklin will be started from Ryde St Johns Road at 16:18

Customer advice:

A rail replacement bus service will be running between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin. It will depart Ryde St Johns Road at about 05:15 travelling to Ryde Pier Head and will then shuttle between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin as closely as it can to the train timetable it is replacing. It will then start again at Ryde St Johns Road at 13:15 to Ryde Pier Head and then shuttle the same as the morning plan. Please be aware that this will not run to the exact timetable as the train.

You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Southern Vectis 2 and 3 bus services between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin from 05:15 until 09:00 and then from 12:00 to 17:00.
