Between Glasgow Central and Ardrossan Harbour / Largs / Ayr

Description

A failure of the electricity supply between Kilwinning and Dalry means all lines are closed As a result, trains running between Paisley Gilmour Street and Ardrossan Harbour / Largs / Ayr may be cancelled or revised as follows:

  • Trains between Glasgow Central and Ardrossan Harbour will be cancelled

  • Trains between Glasgow Central and Largs will be cancelled

  • Trains between Glasgow Central and Ayr may be cancelled, or revised to run between Glasgow Central and Johnstone and between Kilwinning and Ayr

Disruption is expected until 20:00.

Rail replacement transport is running to help you complete your journey between the following stations:

  • Between Glasgow Central and Ardrossan Harbour

  • Between Paisley Gilmour Street and Kilwinning

Rail replacement transport will be operated by Parks of Hamilton, MacPhails, and Photoflash.

There is a stranded train that is unable to move due to this ongoing incident. For the customers on board this train, buses will run from Dalry to their destination.

Ticket acceptance:

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.

  • 11 : Kilwinning - Irvine - Ardrossan

  • 14 : Irvine - Troon - Ayr

  • X77: Glasgow - Kilmarnock - Prestwick - Ay

McGills:

  • 38/38A: Glasgow - Cardonald - Hillington East- Hillington West - Paisley - Johnstone - Milliken Park

  • 20 : Paisley -Johnstone

  • 904: Paisley - Johnstone - Howwood - Lochwinnoch - Largs
