Description

A fault with the signalling system in the Kilwinning area means some lines are blocked. Trains running between Ayr and Kilwinning will be cancelled or revised to not run between these stations.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Buses have been requested to run between Ayr and Kilwinning.

Customers at Glasgow Central are advised if travelling to Prestwick Airport, Prestwick Town or Ayr to make their way to Buchanan bus station and travel on X77 Stagecoach Bus route and the same with customers at Ayr to travel on the X77 from Ayr to Glasgow Central calling at Prestick Town and Pestwick Airport.

These journeys can be made at no extra cost.

Just show your valid ScotRail ticket to the bus drivers.

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
