Between Liverpool Central and Headbolt Lane / Southport, and also between Hunts Cross and Ormskirk

Description

There is a safety inspection of the track taking place at Kirkdale. This is disrupting Merseyrail Northern line services.

As a result of this, trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 35 minutes or revised.

This is expected until 13:00.

Impact to services:

  • Liverpool Central to Headbolt Lane services are currently suspended

  • Liverpool Central to Southport services are subject to delays and alterations

  • Hunts Cross to Ormskirk services will not operate between Sandhills and Aintree. A limited rail service will operate between Hunts Cross and Sandhills, and also between Aintree and Ormskirk

Customer advice:

A rail replacement bus service is in operation between Sandhills and Aintree / Headbolt Lane.

You may use your ticket on the following services at no extra cost:

  • Stagecoach bus routes 20 and 21 in the area

  • Northern between Liverpool Lime Street and Hunts Cross (until 12:30)
