Between Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh

Description

Flooding between Garve and Achanalt, as a result of heavy rain, means that the line is closed between Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh.

Trains between Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh will be cancelled.

This is expected until the end of the day.

Customer advice:

Rail replacement transport will operate in place of cancelled services.

You can use your ticket, at no additional cost, on ScotRail services via any alternative route to your destination.

Tickets will also be accepted on the following alternatives at no extra cost:

  • CityLink buses between Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh. Please show your valid ticket or SMARTcard to the driver on request. Please note, this is offered on a first come first serve basis and seats cannot be guaranteed

  • Stagecoach North on routes 25, 27 and 28 between Inverness and Dingwall . Please show your valid ticket or SMARTcard to the driver on request.

If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.

Additional information:
