Description
All lines have reopened following a points failure at Lancaster allowing services to resume running. As a result, trains to / from / through this station may be cancelled, delayed by up to 40 minutes, or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Avanti West Coast customer advice:
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on the following services:
TransPennine Express services between Preston and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh in both directions
ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Central in that direction only until further notice
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
If you no longer wish to travel because your train is delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.
You can also travel on TransPennine Express services at no extra cost between Preston and Oxenholme Lake District.
Please note that other train operators may also be affected by disruption – please check your whole journey before travelling.
Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

Road transport will be operated by RSZ as follows:
From Lancaster to Morecambe, calling at Bare Lane and Morecambe
From Morecambe to Lancaster, calling at Bare Lane and Lancaster

You should continue to travel as planned, however, your journey will be delayed.

Northern services from Preston to Leeds until 21:00
TransPennine Express services from Leeds to Newcastle until 21:00
CrossCountry services from Leeds to Newcastle until 21:00
LNER services from York to Newcastle/Edinburgh until 22:00
Northern services from Newcastle to Carlisle until 22:00
