Description
Heavy rain flooding the railway between Largs and West Kilbride means that the line is closed. As, a result trains running between Largs and Saltcoats will start / terminate at Saltcoats. Largs, Fairlie and West Kilbride will not be served.
Disruption expected until 19:30
Customer advice:
Please use valid tickets to travel via any reasonable route to avoid disruption.
If you have had to drive to another station your ticket will be valid to collect your car on your return journey. Speak to a member of staff to validate your ticket.
ScotRail have arranged for your rail tickets to be accepted at no extra cost:
McGills buses on numbers 901 and 906 between Wemyss Bay and Largs in both directions.
Stagecoach West on numbers 585, 12 and 11 between Ardrossan and Largs.
Rail replacement transport has been arranged to shuttle between Largs and Ardrossan calling at Fairlie and West Kilbride:
Departing Ardrossan South Beach at 15:00
Departing Largs at 15:00
