Northern services between Blackpool North and York / Manchester Airport / Liverpool Lime Street

Description

A fault with the signalling system between Layton and Poulton-le-Fylde means that trains running towards Preston have to run at a reduced speed. As a result, trains running between Blackpool North and Preston may be revised, cancelled or delayed up to 15 minutes.

Disruption is expected until 11:00.

Network Rail engineers are on site, carrying out repairs.

Additional information:

Some services may be revised to terminate / start back at Preston.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.
