Description
Lines have reopened between Birmingham New Street and Birmingham International following a broken down train. As service recovers, trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 15:30.
Avanti West Coast customer advice:
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and Nuneaton / Tamworth in both directions until further notice.
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
If you no longer wish to travel because your train is delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.

Avanti West Coast services between Birmingham new Street and Coventry
If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost.
Unfortunately, any seat reservations will not be carried over to another train, but Coach B, H and L are unreserved coaches on CrossCountry services (where available) so please head to them. You can view the formation of CrossCountry trains.
London Northwestern Railway / West Midlands Railway customer advice:
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on National Express Coventry and National Express West Midlands via any reasonable route until further notice.
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on rail replacement transport operated by Brit Coaches, Guru Trave l& Mighty Travel between Coventry and Northampton in both directions until further notice.
Rail replacement transport is being sourced to run between Coventry and Northampton, further updates will be provided when the transport is confirmed.
