Description

A fault with the signalling system in the Lea Hall area is causing disruption to services running between Birmingham New Street and Birmingham International.

As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes, or revised.

Disruption is expected until 16:00.

Advice for Avanti West Coast customers:

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

Advice for London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway customers:

West Midlands Railway services running between Rugeley Trent Valley and Birmingham International will not run between Rugeley Trent Valley and Hednesford until further notice. Some services may also terminate and start at different stations along the entire route.

Your ticket can be used at no extra cost on National Express West Midlands between:

  • Birmingham New Street and Coventry in both directions

  • Wolverhampton and Walsall via Birmingham New Street in both directions

Additional information:

To reduce congestion, services across the whole line will be disrupted. Trains will run at a reduced speed through Lea Hall.
