Between Birmingham New Street / Worcester Foregate Street and Hereford

Description

Local operational issues between Birmingham New Street and Hereford means that a heavily reduced West Midlands Railway service will be in operation between these stations. As a result, most trains running between these stations will be cancelled and replaced by rail replacement bus services.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day Sunday 26 October.

Customer advice:

Rail replacement transport has been requested to cover cancelled services where the is a gap of 60 minutes or more in services.

You may use your ticket onboard the following services at no extra cost:

  • CrossCountry between Birmingham New Street and Cheltenham Spa

  • Great Western Railway between Worcester Foregate Street / Worcester Shrub Hill and Cheltenham Spa

  • Transport for Wales between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton / Birmingham New Street, and also between Shrewsbury and Ludlow / Leominster / Hereford

  • West Midlands Railway between Birmingham Snow Hill / Birmingham Moor Street and Kidderminster / Droitwich Spa / Worcester and Great Malvern, and also between Shrewsbury and Wolverhampton / Birmingham New Street

If you chose to drive your car and park at a station on one of the routes below because of this disruption, your rail ticket will be valid to travel back to the same station later in the day to collect your car.

West Midlands Railway don't have any arrangements with local public bus services in this area to accept rail tickets on board their services. If you choose to use these services, keep your bus ticket - they will consider refunding out of pocket expenses on a case-by-case basis.
