Description

A fault with the signalling system at Leeds means that all lines are blocked. Trains running through this station may be cancelled or delayed by up to 45 minutes as a result.

Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

LNER customer advice:

A replacement bus service is currently on route to Wakefield Westgate, operated by Kee Travel.

You can use your ticket on the following train companies at no extra cost:

  • CrossCountry between Sheffield, Doncaster / Leeds, York and Newcastle / Edinburgh

  • Great Northern / Thameslink between London Kings Cross and Peterborough

  • Northern between York and Leeds

  • TransPennine Express between Manchester, Leeds and York / Newcastle

Northern customer advice:

Train services are unable to run in multiple areas of Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Hull, Nottingham, Lincoln. Other areas maybe be affected.

Northern are waiting further information from Network Rail as to severity of the incident and what effect this is having on specific routes and services.

North Eastern services are not directly affected by this incident.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

  • TransPennine Express between Doncaster and Manchester stations / Liverpool Lime Street
