TransPennine Express between Leeds and Hull, between Liverpool Lime Street and Leeds / Newcastle, between Manchester Airport and York and also between Manchester Piccadilly and Scarborough

Description

Lines have reopened following a fault with the signalling system in the Leeds area. Whilst service recovers, trains running through the station may still be delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Train services are now able to run between Leeds - Cross Gates (in both directions).

Services on the following routes will / may be affected by this disruption:

• Between Halifax - Hull

• Between Leeds - York via Garforth

• York - Blackpool North

Northern services between Leeds - York via Harrogate are not affected.

What should I do?

You can travel on the next Northern service to your destination, where available.

Please note that other train operators may also be affected by disruption – please check your whole journey before travelling.

Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends.

• Alternative TransPennine Express services between Manchester Piccadilly and York via Castleford. Further TransPennine Express services may be diverted via this alternative route into Leeds

• Northern services between Darlington and Saltburn via Eaglescliffe, Thornaby, Middlesbrough and Redcar Central
