Description
A road vehicle struck a bridge in the Leyton Midland Road area earlier today. An inspection of the bridge has taken place and it has been deemed safe for trains to begin running through the area again.
Although trains are now operating again, a number of trains and crew are now in the wrong places, meaning it will take some time to recover the service.
Trains may still be cancelled in full, delayed by up to 15 minutes or revised to only operate for part of their normal journey.
This is expected until 19:00.
Check before you travel:
You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.
Compensation:
You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
