Description
Damage to the overhead electric wires between Tamworth and Stafford is causing disruption to journeys between these stations. The line from Stafford towards Tamworth is blocked, with trains being diverted or cancelled. Whilst engineers are working on the issue, the following alterations will apply:
Avanti West Coast services from Tamworth towards Stafford will be diverted and will not call at Tamworth and Lichfield Trent Valley
London Northwestern Railway services are unable to run between Rugby and Crewe
Disruption is expected to continue until the end of the day.

Avanti West Coast customer advice:
Trains from Tamworth towards Stafford will be diverted to run via Birmingham International.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on London Northwestern Railway services between Rugby and Stafford, services between these stations are being provided by rail replacement buses.
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
If you no longer wish to travel because your train's delayed or cancelled, you can request a full refund from where you bought your ticket.
London Northwestern Railway customer advice
Trains may be revised to start / terminate their journey at Rugby, not running north towards Crewe. Some trains may be diverted.
Rail replacement buses are running between Rugby and Stafford, please note, rail services are running via Birmingham New Street.
You can use your ticket at no extra cost on Avanti West Coast services between Birmingham New Street and Crewe.
