LNER between London Kings Cross and York / Newcastle / Edinburgh / Aberdeen / Inverness

Description

Disruption across LNER services is expected today due to a number of incidents, affecting the whole network.

Due to the severity of yesterdays disruption and the number of cancellations across the route, customers were advised not to travel on Friday 6 February.

Tickets for travel on Friday 6 February will be valid for use up to and including Monday 9 February.

Between Newark North Gate and Grantham:

Damage to the overhead electric wires between these stations means that trains are running at reduced speed on the line towards London. As a result trains may be delayed up to 45 minutes or cancelled.

Additional information:

Please note that engineering work is taking place between London Kings Cross and Peterborough this weekend. This will further affect your journey today. You can find information on this link.

You can use the alternative route map for more details.

Check before you travel:

You can check your journey using the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner.

Please be advised that replacement vehicles may be busier than usual, and you should allow extra time for your journey.

Compensation:

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
