Avanti West Coast between London Euston / Birmingham New Street / Wolverhampton and Glasgow Central, and also between London Euston / Birmingham New Street and Edinburgh
TransPennine Express between Manchester Airport and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh, and also between Liverpool Lime Street and Glasgow Central
Damage to the overhead electric wires between Lockerbie and Carstairs means that all lines are blocked. Trains are unable to run between Carlisle and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh and will be cancelled or revised.
Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.

Avanti West Coast are advising customers NOT TO TRAVEL on the following routes:
North of Carlisle
Southbound from Edinburgh / Glasgow Central
If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.
TransPennine Express
TransPennine Express are advising customer NOT TO TRAVEL north of Carlisle.
Services are unable to run between Lockerbie and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh. TransPennine Express services will be revised to start / terminate at Preston or Carlisle.
You may use your ticket onboard the following services at no extra cost:
Alternative TransPennine Express services between Manchester and York, between York and Newcastle, and also between Newcastle and Edinburgh
Avanti West Coast between Preston and Carlisle, and also between Preston and Glasgow Central / Edinburgh (once the line reopens)
CrossCountry between York and Edinburgh
LNER between York and Edinburgh
Lumo between Newcastle and Edinburgh
Northern between Manchester Airport and Lancaster, and also between Newcastle and Carlisle
ScotRail between Glasgow stations and Edinburgh
