Description

The fire brigade dealing with an incident near the railway between London Euston and Watford Junction means that some lines are blocked. As a result, trains running between Clapham Junction / London Euston and Watford Junction, between Richmond / Clapham Junction and Stratford (London) and also between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside may be cancelled, severely delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

Major disruption is expected until 15:00.

  • Chiltern Railways between London Marylebone and Birmingham Moor Street

  • CrossCountry between Reading and Derby via Birmingham New Street, and also between Birmingham New Street and Manchester Piccadilly

  • Great Western Railway between London Paddington and Reading

  • LNER between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh

  • Northern between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston, and also between Newcastle and Carlisle

  • ScotRail between Glasgow Central / Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh

  • TransPennine Express between Manchester Piccadilly and Preston / Leeds

If your train is cancelled, your ticket is valid on one of the two Avanti West Coast services immediately before your booked train, or one of the two immediately after.

London Overground customer advice:

Services on the Mildmay line between Richmond / Clapham Junction and Stratford (London) and Suffragette line between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside have now resumed but may continue to be cancelled, delayed or revised as service recovers.

Lioness line services between London Euston and Watford Junction continue to be affected and may continue to be cancelled, delayed or revised.

You may use your ticket on London Buses via any reasonable route at no extra cost.

Southern customer advice:

No trains will run between Clapham Junction and Watford Junction until further notice.

If you are travelling on this route, you will need to use an alternative route to reach your destination.

Please note that other train operators in the area - London Northwestern Railway and London Overground - will also be severely disrupted and will not be able to offer an alternative route for your journey.

There has been a report of the fire brigade dealing with an incident near the railway. This has disrupted the power to the railway on all routes between London Euston and Wembley Central, and has prevented us from running trains on our West London route.
