Can you tell me more about the incident?
Emergency services are dealing with a fire in the Watford Junction area.
Fires near the railway present a serious safety risk, as heat and smoke can damage signalling cables, overhead power equipment, and track infrastructure, while creating hazardous conditions for staff and passengers.
Emergency service teams are on site. For safety reasons, trains cannot operate through the area until fire crews have completed their work and Network Rail engineers confirm the line is safe to reopen.
